They call me the Saguaro Kid… and Don’t you Forget It! Six entries from across the country have won the Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa in Carefree’s Name the Cactus contest , which asked its website visitors for the most creative names for 6 old cactuses on the property.

The winners: “Rabbit Jack” (Playa del Ray, CA); “Applause” (Canton, OH); “Gladtameetchoo” (Charlotte, NC); “Butch Cactus and the Saguaro Kid” (Atlanta, GA); “Snowman of the Desert” (Sergeant Bluff, IO); and “Captain Cact-Eye” (Seattle, WA).

Each won a Boulders vacation package that includes air transportation, dining and golf.
